Uttering the Adhan in the Ear of the Newborn
»Narrated Abu Rafi':
I saw the Apostle of Allah (Peace and blessings upon Him) uttering the call to prayer (Adhan) in the ear of al-Hasan ibn Ali when Fatimah gave birth to him. «([1])
Abu Issa said: This is a good authentic hadith.
Note: There is no reliable evidence for uttering iqamah in the ear of the newborn
