Bahira the Monk

When Muhammad (pbuh) became twelve, Abu Talib wanted to go for trading to Ash Sham. He sat thinking how to travel and leave Muhammad (pbuh) behind. He couldn’t leave him, so he decided to take him with him.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was very happy to join his uncle in his trip to Ash sham. He prepared himself and they made their way joining the caravan that is carrying goods for their trading trip.

On Ash Sham boarders, the caravan stopped in the city of Busra to get some rest.

Beside them there was the hermitage of Bahira; the monk, that was known of his knowledge of the Torah and Bible. Once he saw Muhammad (pbuh), he knew that he is the Prophet of this nation.
